With a fourth season on the way, stars like Ian SomerhalderNina Dobrev and an ever growing population of fans, The Vampire Diaries broke out as one of Comic-Con’s most biting panels of 2012. The cast and creative team assembled to offer a Q&A to the CW series’ devoted fans, delving into the engrossing characters and fascinating world the show has built, as well as what we’re bound to see in The Vampire Diaries’ future.

With executive producer Julie Plec, co-creator Kevin Williams, cast members Dobrev, SomerhalderPaul Wesley, Steven R. McQueen, Michael Trevino, and Zach Roerig on hand, eager fans were given a taste of what's to come with some Season 4 footage and insight.

Here's some of the most memorable bites from The Vampire Diaries panel:

* Nina, on the task of playing Vampire Elena: "It's going to be tricky. I think she's going to be defined by her experiences."

* Julie, on Season 4: "Everything just feels so fresh , it feels so new. Elena's obviously going through a huge change and Damon and Stefan are going to have to deal with that. It's a lot of really deep, emotional, twisted stuff."

* Michael, on Tyler in Season 1: "Even I despised the character!"

* Paul, coining the phrase "Salvatore sandwich." Yum.

* Julie, on Katherine: "Katherine will not show her face until Klaus is no longer a threat."

* Julie, on the possibility of seeing Alaric again: "We certainly don’t like living in a world without Matt Davis in our family. So it’s possible.”

* Ian, on whether he thinks Damon will be happy that Elena is a vampire: "It could be fun!"

'Pacific Rim' Wows With Insane Monster vs. Robot Footage Share

We’ve seen people fight aliens, aliens fight monsters, robots fight people, and just about every other combination imaginable. But somehow, even a tale as traditional as people and robots fighting alien monsters seems unique when handled by the creative mind of Guillermo del Toro. The director took his forthcoming sci-fi adventure Pacific Rim to this year’s Comic-Con, debuting some of the first footage of the film, which stars Charlie Humman, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day. All parties involved, and some spectacular imagery, made what could have been a tired premise into a unique, innovative, and most of all exciting new cinematic prospect.
The footage opens with a snowscape, two men scanning the ice with a metal detector. They find something and begin chipping away at the ice. The metal detector starting going wild, and as the Tron Legacy-esque music kicks in, the camera pans up, a giant robot is revealed. Pulp, '20s style head, swirling fan chest, big clobbering arms. The robot takes a step forward before falling down. Reminiscent of the Prometheus money shot, with a bot instead of a spaceship. Except, this is far from the money shot of Pacific Rim.
A title card: "We created monsters." The reel cuts to shots of a monster with giant claws destroying gold en gate bridge. Massive claws ripping away at the structure while fighter jets try to shoot it down. Cutting back to the Pacific Rim base, soldiers suit up in the crazy, colorful base, preparing to man giant robots. Strapping on futuristic white battle suits (Mac?), the robot squad steps inside the mech to operate together. It takes two people to man the bot, which mimics there movements.
From there, it's all robot on monster action. Multiple robots are carried into the ocean with helicopters, dropped in to fight a long-nosed, snarling beast. Back at the base, Idris Elba delivers a Braveheart speech: "we're canceling the apocalypse." Badass. Cutting back to the robot/monster battle, the trailer provides the ultimate finishing move. With a swift set of fists, the robot smashes the head of the horned kaiju (a Japanese term for the monsters). Tons and tons of carnage. But this is only one robot and one monster. According to Del Toro, there are nine robots and six monsters in total. Assume lots of s**t will be destroyed.

'Ant Man' Test Footage Teases Comedy Action Adventure

There’s something about the realm of comic book movies that just begs for the spread of rumors. Beyond any other subculture, fans will spread hopeful gossip about their favorite serials and graphic novels taking form on the big screen. One of the most buzzed about unconfirmed projects, for quite some time now, has been a film adaptation of the Marvel Comic Ant Man, with a slew of creative forces (including director Edgar Wright) expressing interest in the prospect. No longer will fans have to pray to the Marvel gods (you know, like Thor): Ant Man is officially getting a movie...and we saw the first footage:

Ant-Man lurks in a vent, spying on two guards in sunglasses (because he's the size of the ant and he can do that). Edgar Wright wanted a practical costume, a mix the silver age and contemporary Ant-Man and it looks great. He rolls out of the vent and enlarging to sprint down the corridor. He shifts his size once more, micro size again in order to run along the top of on guard's gun. He jumps off the barrel and punches the guard in the face. Even in his super small size, he packs a huge wallop, a slow mo shot whipping the guy's mouth all to one side before sending him into a wall. Ant-Man enlarges once again to throw the second goon through the door. In true Edgar Wright spirit, the scene is filled with comedic beats, capping off with Ant-Man casually enters the elevator. All in a day's work.

Complaint against Padmapriya!

Popular Malayalam filmmaker MA Nishad, who directedPadmapriya in a movie titled 'No 66 Madhura Bus', has filed a complaint with the Film Chamber against the actress and her manager.

According to Nishad, Padmapriya's manager Vivek Ramadevan has interfered with his work. "The disturbance came despite a circular from the producers association that discourages artistes from depending on managers to deal with people in the industry," he said.

The director claimed that Padmapriya's dates were procured for Rs 8 lakh. However, her manager Vivek entered the scene and demanded another 2 lakh.

Nishad also added that she was not on time for the shooting and it created problems for him. Padmapriyais popular in Kollywood for films such as 'Thavamai Thavamirundu' and 'Satham Podathey'.
